Tane Mahutas perspective In the begining the only light was from Te Marama the moon. Hi my name is Tane this is what happened. "We need to kill them!"said Tumatauenga god of war. Me and my brothers disagreed. My brothers and I want to separate our parents so we can see the sun. Its hard because Rangi and Papa are in love and they won’t let go of each other. All their children were born in darkness. Both of them are way to strong but if we try we can push them apart. I used my legs to push them apart and then my brothers pushed  Ranginui as well. They pulled him away from Papatuanuku. But my brother Tawhirimatea god of wind didn’t want them to be apart but he knew what to do so his Dad wouldn’t get hurt. So he blew Rangi  away so then after years in the dark with the only light Te Marama there was light. Tawhirimatea was angry so he made lightning then 7 and he threw the lightning at Ranginui and stars were formed. There names were Waiti, Waita, Uru-a-...
